Combine Hour Adjustment Change
Beginning this summer, hour adjustments for combines will be based on separator hours instead of engine hours. This change is a direct result of customer feedback. Guide values will not be impacted due to different per hour factors for engine and separator hours.
Guides Going Completely Digital
Effective January 1, 2018, Iron Solutions will no longer publish the print edition of the Official Guide. We will continue to provide accurate and comprehensive valuations as always through our web platform at ironguides.com.
Many equipment types and models are not available in print due to space restrictions within the book. A digital platform, however, simplifies appraisal searches & valuations and can be done in less than 30 seconds. Our print only customers can now access additional options for appraisals and floor plan purposes. Print-Only subscribers who have questions and wish to take advantage of this special offer should contact us.

Improvements to the Official Guide are largely the result of feedback from our customers like the recent change to the combine hour adjustment. The opportunity to provide us feedback as been made even easier through our online IronGuides. Simply click of “Provide Feedback” on the far right of the top navigation bar on any page within IronGuides. This will allow you to suggest ways of improving the use of IronGuides or voice errors you may find in our values. Your suggestion will be reviewed by our staff and you will be contacted for follow-up.
Do You Report Only Tractors & Combines?
Tractors and Combines are important parts of the Official Guide, but we also need reports on all types (and makes) of used machinery. Items such as tillage equipment provide valuable information for those looking for comparable sales. These particular reports can be viewed as part of the “yellow pages” section. Please remember to include details such as age and size when reporting. Dealers submitting 10 – 49 qualified reports for each location in their ownership group in the 12 months prior to purchase earn a 10% discount. Dealers submitting 50+ qualified reports for each location in their ownership group in the 12 months prior to purchase earn a 20% discount.
