Santa’s Ready for a New Ride!

And Toys for Tots will benefit from his trade-in.

We need your help to generate values and financing options on this famous and most cherished piece of used equipment. Scroll down to learn more.

Santa is ready to trade-in his old model 1908-12.25 sleigh, but has no idea what it’s worth. After all, Santa is busy pushing his elves to make more toys and has little time to spend with sleigh dealers.

At Iron Solutions, we are equipment appraisal experts with over 80 years worth of equipment data, but not much data on Flying Sleighs. So, we figured we would do what we do best to generate values on equipment — ask our customers to help #AppraiseTheSleigh to benefit Toys for Tots.

LENDERS & DEALERS

and other self-proclaimed sleigh experts

Take a look at the sleigh facts below and submit your data to help us appraise Santa’s sleigh. Now, Santa wants a decked-out ride, but Mrs. Claus says cash flow is an issue. Any finance options for them?

For every option value or helpful comment posted via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #AppraiseTheSleigh — we will donate 25¢ to Toys for Tots (up to $2,000).

And because we love data, see the Fun Facts About Santa’s Sleigh below to help with your valuation.

Be sure to share your ideas with Iron Solutions using #AppraiseTheSleigh by December 18th in time for Santa to trade-up for the big ride on Christmas Eve.

Fun Facts About Santa’s Sleigh

NEW INFO

$????

Santa has decided to throw in four reindeer to the trade, but can’t decide if the one with the red nose is included.

How much are the incremental reindeer worth?

How much value does the red nose bring?

MILES

19.7 trillion

Santa has to cover a little under 200 million square miles on Christmas Eve. Times that by 100 years and you’ve got yourself the ultimate high-miler.

HOURS

3300 hrs

Traveling with the Sun (East to West), Santa has 32 hours on Christmas Eve to deliver all his cargo. Now, multiply that by 100 years and add the occasional trip to Tahiti in the off season.

TOP SPEED

1700mps

To cover roughly 196,900,000 square miles in 32 hours, Santa has to travel at 6,153,125 mph or 1700 miles per second. That’s 8,000 times the speed of sound!

WEIGHT

Unloaded

0 lbs

Because, magic.

Loaded

461,300 mt

700 million Children (689mil Nice / 11mil Naughty), each getting a toy or coal weighing roughly 1.45lbs

REINDEER

8 RP

The Top Speed of one reindeer is 190 miles per second! With a fully loaded sleigh, that’s 52,000 Reindeer-Power/Ton.

KEY OPTION

PLANTER/SEEDER

Let’s face it: When you only have 32 hours to deliver presents to 300 million children, you can’t feasibly stop at every house. So, Santa employs a modified seeder/planter to accurately drop presents down chimneys at high rates of speed.

Special thanks to  The Telegraph   for helping with these figures.
